The Lighthouse, Chania, Crete.

Another scanned print, this time from my 1993 trip to Crete, this old lighthouse stands at the entrance to Chania harbour. One of those little known but fascinating facts is that the city of Chania has been in continuous human occupation for longer than any other in Europe.

Rhodes Town, Greece

Another pre-digital (Scanned print) image, once again from my 1996 sojourn in Greece, this time the island of Rhodes. Today Rhodes is a favoured playground and holiday resort for northern Europeans but over the past four millennia has been one the pivotal points of history and culture owing to its geographical position on the fringe of Europe with the coast of Asia Minor on the horizon. Through the ages it has been fought over and changed hands frequently as evidenced by the diverse architecture in the island capital.
